Hi lovely
Today, I want to help you make the most of a page that is often ignored or overlooked….the thank you page.
When someone signs up for your opt in gift, your lead magnet, the thank you page is what they see when they have signed up.
How do you make it stand out for them and how do you affirm they have just made a great decision?!

The thank you page is the page that somebody lands on when they have got your opt-in gift, your lead magnet.
They put their name and email address in, and boom, they go to a thank you page.
Please don’t let this just be a generic thanks for signing up page!
This is valuable real estate online property in terms of your marketing strategy.
Firstly, it means they want to know more. They have cared enough to give you their email address so now you have their attention.
A thank you page is about capitalizing on that attention, and increasing the know, like, and trust factor.
It’s also an opportunity for you to build connection with that person.
It’s a simple strategy, but one that will help you to leverage your time, and to make the most of that interaction.
If you have people signing up for your free lead magnet all the time because you’re using paid advertising or if you’re constantly promoting it, you have a great opportunity to build a relationship with that person.
The beauty of it is that when you’ve set it up once, then it just performs for you again and again and again.
So the situation is someone has signed up for your lead magnet.
What can you put on a thank you page that will really capture their attention, hold their attention, build the know, like, and trust factor, and build a really strong rapport with you?
Well, there’s a few things that you can do.
I’m not saying that you have to do all of them. Like with anything, you’ve got to make sure that it fits in with you, and that it works for you.
But here are some ideas about how you can make your thank you page work for you.
First of all, I acknowledge that they have actually signed up, and said, “Thank you for signing up. I’m delighted that you have.”
Then I like to include a link for the downloads.
If it’s a cheat sheet, or an E-book, or a guide, or something like that, I link it with a simple, “Click this link, and you’ll get the download.”
I like to do this is because they’re really interested right now.
The last thing that you want them to do is to then go off and look for their emails, and maybe the email system takes a few minutes.
This way they get instant gratification.
I will them that you’ll get this via email as well, because that’s the whole point of your lead magnet – so that you can build your email list. But doing it this way means that they get it there and then, and boom, you’ve satiated their desire for your freebie.
Other ideas…
If you’re looking to build that connection, video works tremendously well for this. I know you’ve heard this a million times. Video really does work. Because it allows you to be able to connect with the person.
You could include a short 10-15 second video and say, “Woo-hoo, you’re in. I’m so happy you’re here”
The next thing you can do is invite them to join your Facebook group (if you have a Facebook group), or, “Like my page.”
You’re giving them the next step.
You might give them links to some of your best blogs.
Or book a discovery session.
I know I’m giving you a lot of ideas here but remember, it doesn’t mean to say that you put them all on this thank you page, because you don’t want to overwhelm them.
That’s the last thing that you want!!
However, you might have a number of different lead magnets. You might want to try different strategies and see what works really well.
Examples…
“Here’s a download. Join my Facebook group.” Or,
“Here’s a download. Here’s some blogs that you might enjoy.”
Or a short welcome video, and here’s the download.
You don’t have to do a ton of stuff on the thank you page.
But, I don’t want you just to have a generic thank you!
You’ve got this person’s attention, they want to know more at this point, and they are really hot at this stage because they’ve just signed up for your freebie.
Make the most of this and ask yourself, “What do I want them to do next?”
It depends, of course, on your business. But I want you to think about how you can increase the know, like, and trust factor with this person, and how you can do it quickly,
How can I make the most of my thank you page?
Now it’s your turn…..go back and look at your thank you pages, and see what tiny tweaks that you can make to really make your thank you page stand out for your dream client and get them taking the next step.
Remember, whether somebody signs up for your free stuff or your paid stuff, you want them to feel really good about the decision.
You want them to feel good about it.
This is all about reinforcing the decision that they’ve just made to sign up for your free gift and your lead magnet.
Tell me what you think. Have you gone and made some changes? Do you do this already? I’d love to hear from you, so be sure to put your questions and comments below. See you next time!
