I did a Facebook Live on this topic recently, and it really hit a chord, and so I wanted to share it with you as well.

The topic is how to get paid really well.

How do you get paid really well for what you do? 10, 15 years ago, you could get away with selling a lot of information, and that’s exactly what people did.

There was even a term for it – information marketers.

People were selling eBooks and reports and we were paying a fortune for these things!

You’d probably go into a book shop and pay for a book for 10, 15 quid and yet with eBooks, we were paying $27, $37!!

Crazy when you think about it now, but information was so highly prized that we were willing to pay for it.

The reality is that day has gone, which is probably not a bad thing cause the truth is, with the internet and all of the things we have available to us, especially through our smart phones, we are awash with information.

There’s just too much information out there, and now we’re struggling because of it.

I recently read that we have a lower attention span than a goldfish!!

So what do we do with this knowledge and how does that relate to your business?

This is my take on it.

People don’t want anymore information.

They need the information that’s going to help them to create a transformation, but what they really want is for you to help them create that transformation.

This is what will get you paid really well.

Not just doling out loads of information and saying, “Here’s another packet full of stuff.”

But actually, showing them how to implement it.

I released a report called ’15 easy-peasy ways to market your business in tiny pockets of time’. There were 15 ways, so there’s information there, but at the end of the report I said so ‘choose two to three‘.

Notice I didn’t say, “Do all 15 of them.”

I asked the reader to pick one, two or three, at the most, and start (that’s the thing with marketing – when you find something that works, do more of it!)

When you think about you and your business and how you get paid really well for what you know, I want you to keep asking yourself that question.

How am I helping people to implement?

There’s different options on the spectrum here.

You have the DIY version, the Done With You and all the way to Done For You.

In your business are you helping people to implement, because if you are, then that support can come at a premium.

If you’re not, then you will get paid, but you won’t get paid as well because the implementation piece is key.
